Who We Are

Film Maven Haven Society is a nonprofit community cinema initiative.

We believe films from all eras, places, genres, and perspectives deserve to be experienced in a theater and discussed in community. Our goal is to preserve and revitalize a historic cinema space that can serve as a cultural anchor: a place for regular screenings, curated series, special events, educational opportunities, and community connection.

We are building something that looks backward and forward at the same time—honoring the legacy of neighborhood moviegoing while creating a modern, welcoming home for film lovers, families, artists, students, and curious first-time guests alike.

What We’re Building

More than screenings. A living community space built around film.

Film Maven Haven Society is working to create a community cinema where people can gather, return often, and feel a sense of ownership and belonging.

Supporting Local Filmmakers

A platform for Utah filmmakers, discounted screening opportunities, and the development of a student film festival to cultivate emerging voices.

FMHS is a third place where the laughter, the applause, and the memories will once again be shared in the dark and carried into the light.

I love classic cinema and particularly love seeing films on the big screen. Maven Cinemas is this cinephile’s dream come true. The high quality projection and sound coupled with the excellent programming, clean and comfortable theater, tasty treats and wonderful staff make this revival house truly a community treasure.
